Headford District Association

The Headford District Association was established in April 2003 to address the needs of the area in social, cultural, environmental and business terms. It succeeds the Headford Claran Community Council that has been in existence for a number of years.

The Headford District Association is a dynamic and hardworking group providing a very valuable service to the local community. We aim to promote the profile for the Headford district as the ideal commercial and cultural location in which to live, work and play, with consistently improving facilities, amenities and environs and are attempting to bring about the infrastructure required to keep our fast growing population on the map.

We are currently engaged with working sub-committees on a number of fronts including The Town Sewerage Scheme, Children’s Playground, Our Website (www.headford.ie), Town Twinning, Amenity Walk, Town Development Plan, St. George’s Square Development, Headford Broadband Initiative, Amenity Signage, Headford in Harmony, Heritage Projects, Family and Social Events – Family Fete and BBQ, Halloween and Christmas Parties, Table Quizzes and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The organisation is a voluntary, non profit making organisation which hold their committee meetings once a month in the local hall and public meetings are regularly called to update the local community on progress. A quarterly newsletter is produced with a wide circulation in the local community.
