IRISH COUNTRYWOMEN’S ASSOCIATION

There are 1,000 I.C.A. Guilds all over Ireland today and every woman over 16 years of age is welcome to join. We have 18,000 Members nationally, who co- operate in a voluntary way to achieve their objectives. The guilds in each County form the County Federation.
We have 600 members in Galway Federation aged between 25 - 80 years, and they are a lively group. Our Federation President is Christine Keaney from Claregalway.
Two of our Claran members are on the Federation Committee:
Ann Greaney is Federation Secretary
Zara Brady is Federation Vice-President
The I.C.A. is the place for doing things together. Members meet regularly, they discover new interests, new skills and make new friends. We have a Free Counselling Service based in Central Office in Dublin. Our Counsellor is fully qualified to give you advice on Family Problems so remember, a trouble shared is a trouble halved.

Through the I.C.A. women all over Ireland are in constant touch with the Government at National and Local level and I.C.A. Representatives sit on many National Committees.
The views of the ICA are regularly sought by Government Departments.

If you become a Member of the I.C.A. it will open the door to a whole new world of opportunities for you.

You are cordially invited to come along to a meeting of Claran I.C.A. Guild in Claran Hall on the first Monday of every month at 8.30pm (Summertime) & 8.00pm (Wintertime)

The I.C.A. is a great way to meet new friends and learn new skills. If you are a little shy (and sure, aren't we all?) give a ring to Ann Greaney on 093-35470 and she will arrange for you to be collected from your home, or have someone meet you at the door of the Hall.
